When storing batteries, make sure the LEDs display 3-4 green lights, which corresponds to around 50-97 percent charge. Check the batteries every three months of storage to make sure they retain 3-4 LEDs. If not, charge the battery back up to 3-4 LEDs as needed.
Discharge is achieved by plugging a battery into a PHX with a payload installed. Do not run the PHX for more than 1 hour continuously on ground. Batteries slowly discharge over time.

For longest lifespan, store battery with ambient temperature between 40 F (5 C) and 90 F (32 C). Store batteries in a dry location indoors, out of direct sunlight.

Expected Lifespan
PHX battery expected lifespan is 200-500 charge cycles, depending on use. Poor charging and storage habits lead to increased risk of battery damage and shortened lifespan.

Damage and Disposal of Battery
Some minor battery swelling may not be a problem, but significant battery swelling may indicate serious internal damage to the battery cells. Maximum allowable swelling of the PHX battery is a total thickness of 2.25 inches as measured at the thickest point of swelling.

Dispose of damaged or unusable batteries at a local battery recycling center, in accordance with local regulations.
