About
The pause command will put the aircraft into a loiter centered around its current location and at the current altitude.
The aircraft will continue to loiter until another command is received.
The pilot also has the option to change the loiter altitude when using the pause command.
How to Use
Pause Button
Press the pause button in the left hand menu of the Fly screen.
The confirmation slider will appear at the bottom of the screen and the change altitude slider will appear on the right hand side of the screen.
Change Altitude (Optional)
A change in altitude can be commanded at the same time as a pause is.
Use the slider on the right hand side of the screen to set a new altitude. The maximum altitude is 400ft and the minimum altitude is 150ft.

Confirmation Slider
Use the slider to send the command to the aircraft.
Fly PHX will enunciate “hold flight mode” and the aircraft will begin to loiter.

If a change in altitude was also command, the aircraft will ascend/descend to the new altitude while loitering. |
Continue Mission or Other Action
To return to the planned flight use the continue command and the associated slider that appears on the screen.
The other commands can be used subsequently without needing to return to the flight plan.
When to Use
The pause command is useful for many reasons and should be used whenever the pilot feels they should.
Common uses are:
Avoiding local air traffic.
To keep the aircraft in a quickly identifiable are while performing other urgent tasks, such as adjusting the flight plan.
To watch a specific area via the live video stream .
