Point the Aircraft

Use either cardinal directions (N,E,S,W) or use landmarks that are on shown on the map.

aim the aircraft by holding it and pointing it directly at the direction or landmark being checked.

Confirm

Verify the icon on the screen is pointing in the expected direction.

When using cardinal directions verify the compass icon in the upper right hand corner of the screen matches the direction.

Holding the aircraft as shown is the easiest and most accurate method.

When using landmarks verify the landmark on the screen is within the highlighted regions projection.

Press OK.

press the Compass OK button to complete the checklist item.

If the compass is not reading the expected direction within +/-10 degrees, calibrate the compass before flight.
