SD Card

The D4K comes standard with a 64Gb SD card. This card is located in a slot on the side of the sensor, as shown in D4K - Payload Anatomy. The file structure should look as shown on the right

The Double 4K payload for PHX uses a micro SD card to storage the imagery captured during flight.

Offload Process

Remove Micro SD Card

Remove the micro SD card from the Payload.

Press in on the SD card to release the locking mechanism and the card will release.

Insert Micro SD Card

Insert the micro SD card into the laptop. Use the micro SD card adapter if necessary.

Note: Windows often identifies SD cards from D4Ks as needing to be fixed, this is normal, and fixing the drive will not hurt your data.

Locate Imagery

In a file browser, select the SD card and open the snapshots folder.

Inside Within the ' snapshots ' folder is where you will find your sessions. Each time the camera is powered on and connected to the PHX, it will start a session (assuming it was allowed time to boot).

Inside the appropriate folder for the session, there will be two folders. Their names will vary based on the type of D4K used. These folders contain the images that should be imported to Field Agent.

will be the session folders that are labeled with the timestamp from when the camera session was started.

The session folders are labeled in the following format:

YYYY-MM-DD_HH-MM-SS

Where the time (HH_MM_SS) is the UTC time at which the session started.

Inside of the session folders is where the folders containing the imagery are located. The folder names will be dependent on the variant of double 4k. In this example an AG+ variant was used and the imagery folders are displayed as NDVI and RGB.

Copy Files (Optional)

Copy the files from the SD card to your laptop or external hard drive. This ensures the data is backed up and not lost when the SD card is cleared.

Import

Import the data, either from the local copies or straight from the SD card to the image processing software of your choice.
