About
Performing preventative maintenance is the best way to keep the PHX ready for flight. These tasks often only take a few minutes to complete and can save time when traveling or in the field.
Keep Spares on Hand
Having spare parts for the PHX on hand is the best way to minimize (or eliminate) downtime and be prepared for any unexpected issues.
All spare PHX parts can be purchased from the Sentera webstore.
Recommended Spares
Wings
You can’t fly without wings.
FSK Restock Kit
This kit includes spar joiners, propellers, JB Weld plastic bonder, Gaffers tape, and Pitot tubes.
Wing Pins
Protective Films
There are protective films available for the PHX. These films are designed to protect the thin foam parts of the wings, as well as the areas that interact with the ground during landing.
The films are made from 3M automotive grade abrasion resistant material.
The films can be easily installed by the user with the help of the linked video.
Regular Inspection & Cleaning
Inspection
Regularly inspecting the PHX and its components helps ensure that any damage is found and repaired before the aircraft needs to fly next.
Airframe
Inspect the fuselage, wings, tail, and spar joiner for cracks, tears, component separation, holes, etc. Repair or replace any components that are damaged.
Electrical Connectors
Inspect the Fuselage side and wing side connectors for damage, debris, or other such items.
Verify the wing side connector is free to wiggle left, right, up, and down inside of the wing root.
Mechanical Connections
Inspect the fuselage side ball studs and the wing side receptacles for damage, stiffness, and debris that may impede the locking mechanism from working properly.
Inspect the control surface linkages and verify they are connected and undamaged.
