Takeoff & Landing Area

The PHX Requires a 500ft area clear of obstacles for takeoff. The takeoff direction should always be as into the wind as possible.

Landing

The PHX requires a landing area that is approximately 50ft (15m) wide and 330ft (100m) long. The landing area should be free of obstructions such as rocks, trees, fence posts, etc. The landing directions should always be as into the wind as possible.

 

 

The landing area is the area on the ground required for landing. The landing approach requires additional space.
