Battery - Charging


About

The PHX battery is intended to be charged with the the PHX Smart Charger.


How to Charge

To charge the PHX battery Do the following:

Connect the charger to an AC power source. The charger will indicate that it is ready when the status LED on the charging module begins to flash alternating blue and white.

Connect the the battery to the charger.

Verify the charge cycle starts, indicated by a series of beeps. The status LED will begin to alternate green and white lights.

When charging is complete the charger will emit several beeps and the status LED will be solid green.

The charger will beep every 60 seconds after the charge is complete until the battery is removed from the charger.


Best Practices

For longest lifespan, perform a charge with the ambient and battery temperature between 60 F (15 C) and 80 F (27 C).

Batteries should be charged in the shade or indoors.

Error Codes

When a fault is detected the battery charger module will emit three alternating frequency beeps every 60 seconds.

A color code sequence is used to identify which fault has occurred. The LED on the battery charger module will flash in the following pattern when a fault has been detected:
