What to Check

Charged

Verify the CommsBox Battery is sufficiently charged.

Clear View

For best communications reliability to the drone, place the CommsBox high above the ground and above any obstacles and keep the antenna pointed vertically to the sky. Signal reflections off of vehicles, power lines, and other metal objects or structures can degrade communications performance.

Symptom

Solution(s)

Low CommsBox Battery

  • Charge or replace the CommsBox battery with a new battery.

  • Power the CommsBox from an alternate power source. Requires a minimum output of 5V @ 3A.

Low Signal Strength

  • Move the CommsBox such that it is away from sources of blockage or interference preventing it from communicating with the aircraft.

  • Use the long range antenna for increased signal strength.

  • No labels
