About
The top bar on the Fly screen of Fly PHX contains application navigation tools, as well as status/interface icons.
Navigation Icons
The application navigation icons are located in the upper left corner of all screens/tabs of Fly PHX. They are used to change between the various screens/tabs.
Application Settings
Used for changing global application settings, accessing the help menu, importing field boundaries, and downloading offline maps.

Gear Tab
Used for locating aircraft and firmware information, calibrating sensors, and controlling safety settings.

Plan Tab
Used for planning flights.
Â
Fly Screen
The main hub of Fly PHX. Used for controlling and monitoring the aircraft during flight.

Interface & Status Icons
Alerts
The alerts icon is either displayed as a megaphone or a red triangle with an exclamation point in the middle.
The megaphone is displayed when all alerts or warnings have been viewed.
The red triangle is displayed when there are unread alerts or warnings.

To view any of the alerts or warnings that have occurred or been displayed since the aircraft was connected fly PHX, click/press on the icon.
a pop up window will appear and display the alerts and warnings.

GPS
The GPS icon displays the current number of fixed GPS satellites and horizontal accuracy value.

To view more details about the GPS status click on the GPS icon.
A pop up window will appear and display more information.
Â
Signal Strength
The signal strength icon displays the current signal strength value.
The signal strength can be:
Number Bars | Value |
---|---|
3 | Very Strong |
2 | Normal |
1 | Low |
The PHX datalink is a digital datalink. This means any amount of bars indicates a connection. Only 1 bar of connection is required for successful flight.

Camera Interface
The camera interface icon directly communicates with the camera payload (Double 4K & 65R) in real time and displays current status information.

Remote ID Interface
The remote ID interface icon displays the current state of the remote ID broadcast hardware.

Battery
The battery icon displays the current battery percentage.
Because the PHX uses a smart battery this is reported directly from the batteries fuel gauge and is not based purely on voltage monitoring.

To view more details about the battery status click/press on the battery icon.
A pop up window will appear and display voltage and accumulated consumption.

Flight Modes & Arming Status
Flight Modes
The flight modes button displays the current flight mode.
There are 3 flight modes for PHX:
Hold
Hold flight mode is used when the aircraft is unarmed and has a home point during ground handling.
Hold flight mode is also used whenever the aircraft is in a sustained loiter, such as with the pause of go-to waypoint commands.
Mission
Mission flight mode is used when the aircraft is armed and executing the ight plan.
Return
Return flight mode is used when the return (RTL) command is used.

The flight mode button can be selected to display a drop down menu of the avaible flight modes.
Switching the flight modes via this method allows for very rapid changing of flight modes as the confirmation slider is bypassed.
Using this method for changing flight modes is not recommended by Sentera and in some cases may void your warranty (warning message is displayed).
Use the in pre-flight checklist and in-flight controls to command changes to the flight mode.

Arming Status
The arming status button show the current arming status of the aircraft.
There are 2 armed states for the PHX:
Armed
The aircraft is ready for flight and the motor can be engaged.
Disarmed
The aircraft is not ready for flight and the motor can not be engaged.

The arming status button can be selected to display a dropdown menu of the available arming states.
Using this method for changing arming state is not recommended by Sentera and in some cases may void your warranty (warning message is displayed).
The only time this method should be used is to perform an emergency stop maneuver. See the emergency stop article to learn more.
