Does the D4K RTK payload require post processing to add geotags to the imagery EXIF data?
No. The GPS and attitude information is directly stamped to the EXIF data at the time of capture.
Can I use the D4K RTK payload without a corrections source?
Yes, the D4K payload can operate as a non-RTK payload with no additional steps or configuration. Install and use the camera as normal. The GPS type in the camera indicator icon will read standard GPS. The payload is still using the GPS that is attached to the camera.
Does the D4K RTK payload provide RTK GPS data to the autopilot?
No. The RTK GPS works independently of the aircraft and autopilot.
What does DIFF mean on the camera webpage?
DIFF is the label used to display the fix type and correction message age (time since last set of correction messages).
Do I need to use a Sentera RTK base station with the D4K RTK payload?
No. Other base stations have been tested with the D4K RTK payload. A 3rd party base station needs to be able to provide RTCMv3 messages, and needs to be able to be connected to a laptop to be compatible. Please contact support@sentera.com for more information.
Does the D4K RTK payload have PPS?
No. The D4K RTK payload does not have PPS, but there is some timing correction behind the scenes.
Is PPK supported?
No. PPK is not supported for the D4K RTK payload.
Can I add RTK to my regular D4K payload?
Yes. Please contact your sales rep or support@sentera.com to get started.
Can I Use an NTRIP Client on an iPad?
No. NTRIP running on an iPad is not currently supported for the D4K RTK Payload.
What is the USB slot on the upper part of the payload for?
The USB slot on the payload is for updating the GPS firmware.
