Identify Serial Number

The serial number is located on the side of the sensor.

 

The serial number is used to determine the required updated file.

For sensors with a serial number less than 200:

How To Update

Insert Micro SD Card To Computer

Insert the SD card into your computer

 

Navigate To SD Card

Locate the SD card in a file browser.

 

Open Firmware Folder

 

 

Apply Update to SD

Copy the downloaded update .zip file into the firmware folder on the Double 4K SD card

Do NOT unzip this folder before copying it into the firmware folder.

 

Insert Micro SD Into Sensor

Insert the micro SD card with the update file into the Double 4K.

 

 

Assemble Aircraft & Sensor

Assemble the aircraft and install the payload.

The wings are not required to be installed to apply the update.

 

 

Power Aircraft

Insert the battery into the assembled aircraft.

 

Allow Update To Apply

Leave the camera in the aircraft powered on for 15 minutes. In this time, the camera will reboot several times.

 

Verify Update

Connect the aircraft to Fly PHX and navigate to Gear Tab > Summary > Airframe > Double 4K Payload Ver and verify it matches the firmware version that was installed.
