What to Check

Navigate to the Plan tab and verify the mission is correct and uploaded.

Plan Screen

Verify:

  • Takeoff direction is into the wind.

  • Survey altitude, overlap, (or preset), and area are correct.

  • Landing direction & area are free of obstacles and into the wind.

Upload

Verify the flight plan has been uploaded to the aircraft.

If the flight plan does not match what is on the aircraft the upload button in the upper right hand corner with be displayed as a flashing blue “Upload Required” button.

There is also a syncing bar that will appear. After the upload is complete, the white upload button will be displayed.

Verify Successful Upload

The autopilot will automatically check if the mission is valid after it is uploaded and Fly PHX will display any reported warnings. Read and address any yellow warning messages.

The example image shows a landing pattern that has been modified to be too short.

These warnings are limited in their capability and will not account for things like powerlines, buildings, etc.
